Wildfowler Decoys (TR), established in 1939, is the oldest decoy manufacturing company with a history of quality made decoys. These decoys attract seasoned and novice collectors.
Thomas H. Gamble has owned and operated Wildfowler Decoys in Jensen Beach, Fl. since 2004. Tom is the son-in-law of Charles R. Birdsall, who was the 3rd owner of the business.
Coming from Baltimore, Md., then moving to New Jersey in the 60’s, Tom has hunted with and met many premier carvers and learned many tricks of the trade from them over the years. Tom saw to every aspect of the New Jersey years of Wildfowler and with this knowledge, he can draw and make patterns, as well as paint and design decoys much to the satisfaction of his customers. He is also a prize-winning hand-carver having won numerous awards for his work.
Over the years, there has been much written about Wildfowler Decoys; the most recent publication, Wildfowler Decoys, was written by Richard Cowan and Richard LaFountain in 2004. Generations of hunters and non-hunters alike collect and/or hunt over these beautiful and sturdy creations. Today, Wildfowler Decoys keeps to the tradition that it is famous for the world over.
